Pharmed Limited Wins IDMA Corporate Citizen Award 2025 for India Bone Health Initiative

February 13, 2026 – Bangalore, India

Bangalore, February 14, 2026: Pharmed announced that it has been conferred the prestigious Indian Drug Manufacturers' Association - IDMA Corporate Citizen Award 2025 at the association's 64th Annual Day Celebrations held in Mumbai on February 13, 2026. The award recognises Pharmed's flagship social impact programme, the India Bone Health Initiative (IBHI) --- a nationwide Bone Mineral Density (BMD) camp--based awareness movement dedicated to strengthening preventive bone health in India.

The India Bone Health Initiative is a patient-focused Bone Mineral Density (BMD) camp--based awareness movement designed to position bone health as a key pillar of preventive healthcare in India. Conducted free of cost for patients, the initiative works in close collaboration with supporting doctors who voluntarily extend bone health education beyond hospital settings into the community.

In the context of a rapidly ageing population, rising life expectancy, and low awareness about osteoporosis, the disease often goes unnoticed until fractures occur. IBHI therefore underscores the critical role of early BMD screening in identifying osteoporosis and osteopenia at an early stage, allowing timely lifestyle modifications and clinical management. While prioritising elderly individuals and post-menopausal women who are at greater risk, the initiative also responds to the increasing incidence of osteopenia among younger adults, linked to sedentary lifestyles, nutritional deficiencies, reduced physical activity, and evolving work habits.

Commenting on the occasion, Mr. Suneet Aurora, Chairman and Managing Director, said, "We are deeply honoured to receive the Corporate Citizen Award 2025 from IDMA. At Pharmed, we believe that healthcare responsibility extends far beyond commercial boundaries --- it lies in empowering communities with knowledge, access, and early intervention. The India Bone Health Initiative represents our long-standing commitment to preventive healthcare, patient education, and meaningful collaboration with healthcare professionals. Osteoporosis is a silent disease, and through early BMD screening and structured awareness programmes, we aim to shift the narrative from late-stage fracture management to proactive prevention. This recognition motivates us to further scale the initiative, strengthen partnerships, and continue building a healthier, more aware India."

Going forward, IBHI plans to expand through deeper collaborations with medical associations, professional bodies, CSR organisations, corporates, and community institutions, enabling structured and scalable outreach, followed by focused media and PR-led thought leadership initiatives to further strengthen awareness and advocacy around bone health. A key priority will be engagement with corporates and organised workplaces to reach the younger, working-age population, where early identification of osteopenia allows timely lifestyle and clinical interventions and, in many cases, reversal and prevention of disease progression. In parallel, IBHI will adopt a demographic- and condition-driven approach, supporting a continuum of care across critical segments, including peri- and menopause in women and bone health management in the geriatric population, in close collaboration with HCPs and caregivers.

The IDMA Corporate Citizen Award 2025 stands as a testament to Pharmed's sustained commitment to responsible corporate citizenship and community-driven preventive healthcare leadership.
